All our meat is 100% certified halal, sourced only from trusted suppliers who follow strict halal guidelines. We work only with trusted halal-certified suppliers who ensure that animals are raised on a natural, wholesome, and vegetarian-based diet, free from any animal by-products. Their feed typically includes grains, pulses, and plant-based nutrition to support healthy growth in line with halal and tayyib (pure and clean) principles.

At The Halal Square, we believe that what goes into the animal matters — because it directly reflects the halal integrity of what ends up on your plate.

All animals used in our supply chain are slaughtered strictly according to authentic halal guidelines. Each animal is slaughtered individually, by hand, by a practising Muslim operative, who recites the appropriate prayer (Bismillah, Allahu Akbar) at the time of slaughter.

This process ensures the animal is treated with respect, care, and dignity — following the principles of halal and tayyib, with full adherence to Islamic law and compassion throughout.

We’re two Muslim brothers with over two decades of experience in the halal meat industry. We've proudly worked with ASDA across the country, managing and supplying halal meat concessions with a strong focus on quality, authenticity, and Muslim integrity.

The Halal Square is a continuation of that legacy — bringing our expertise directly to you in a fresh, flavour-packed format.

The Halal Square currently operates in two ASDA Birmingham locations, serving freshly prepared halal pizza and hot food to customers on the go. While we’re proud to partner with ASDA as an in-store concession, we remain a fully independent Muslim business.

Our ambition is to roll out The Halal Square across the country, continuing to serve the Muslim community with authentic, high-quality halal food — always fresh, always halal.
